Did you know there’s a site called ‘This Week in Facebook’? Yup, there is. Here’s a recap…

“The past week has been a busy one for Facebook, who made a couple product and partnership announcements. Whether it was the new Paypal integration on the site, Microsoft’s announcement that they’d be integrating Facebook into Outlook, or the company surpassing Yahoo! in traffic, this was a busy week.” Source: This Week In Facebook – February 21, 2010

But the biggest buzz at the local level seems to be those who want out of Farmville and their annoying updates…

“The Facebook-platform game FarmVille has 80 million players. It’s been named social networking game of the year. It’s played by people young and old. It’s bigger than Twitter. But that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone.” Source: HOW TO: Block FarmVille on Facebook

Finally, this great post about taking more control of Facebook to make it a more rewarding experience…

“The sheer number of friends I have, in the real world and on the internet, who use Facebook ultimately led me to capitulate and start using it a little. I’m not a huge fan by any means, but I will admit that I enjoy seeing what my friends are up to.

But like every other social application, you have to work a little to keep the experience efficient and rewarding.” Source: How to Vastly Improve Your Facebook Experience with Filters and Lists | Newsome.Org

Happy Facebooking!
