My readers know I’m a huge fan of Google Reader to aggregate news and ideas. Lately, I found a great new plugin called Google Recommended Reading from C. Murray Consulting that allows me to leverage my shared items in Google Reader as post or sidebar content. Currently, I use FriendFeed to accomplish this, but if you’re concerned about their future under facebook or just want to keep things simple, I highly recommend it — the functionality is great and they are incredible responsive — a feature was added to the plugin within 24 hours of a suggestion I made on their blog…
The widget is at the bottom of the sidebar and this is a test of their ‘display on page/post’ shortcode feature. Here’s a test of the Recommended Reading shortcode:
