During the course of September, I’m working through Darren Rowse‘s ebook “31 days to build a better blog”. First assignment? Create an ‘elevator pitch‘. Here’s what I have so far…

Short version? “e1evation.com is about educating, equipping and empowering”

Long version? e1evation.com is about marketing, sales and technology for small business owners, non-profits and academic institutions. On my blog, I talk about good, fast and cheap tools that all can use to create better business development [i.e., generate leads] through high tech – in particular, through cloud computing and the wide variety of powerful but inexpensive tools we can find on the internet.

The primary audiences I am trying to serve is either:

  • small business owners who want easy to update websites and other tools that generate leads
  • the marketing professional that needs a toolkit to take what they know about outbound marketing and translate it into inbound marketing
  • the great thinker that aspires to thought leadership

If you’re one of these three types of people, I encourage you to follow the blog and connect with me. I can be an invaluable resource to the right person. Comment or ‘connect’ to discuss how this applies to you and your organization… ”

What do you think? How did I do?
