The focus this week is on Google and being intentional about Search Engine Optimization [SEO] and social media. It wasn’t until a couple of weeks ago that I realized I needed to move beyond simply curating content and stake my own claim in this crazy social media world. Up until that point, I was content to ‘regurgitate’ content as a proof of concept for my content marketing workflow…

Then a couple of seemingly unrelated things happened. I read Rebecca Lieb’s book on Content Marketing. I read Clay Johnson’s book called The Information Diet as well as a few others [here's my list of recommended reading if you're interested]. I had a couple of great convos with Search Engine Optimization [SEO] expert and new seo bff Ronnie Binser of VideoLeadsOnline. I decided to get intentional about my writing. I tested a WordPress plugin called InboundWriter as a means of keeping me accountable. Most importantly, I became confident in my expertise and decided to write more about my own perspective than curating others. I became purposeful about content marketing for thought leadership. I’m connecting the dots that should have been connected a long time ago. Things are coming together…
