5 Outdoor Activities in Yellow Dragon National Park, China

The yellow dragon national park in china has everything for everyone just as the names suggest it is a place of dragon and enjoyment. Whether you enjoy the stenos work like hiking or you are a lazy person you just want to sit and relax, then yellow dragon national park is for you. With so many outdoor activities to choose from you will be spoilt for choice. The following five outdoor activities are just direction of the many more activities you will find in Yellow dragon national park.

Multi colored ponds

All the colors of the rainbow are found here, actually, the landscape studded with waterfalls and terraced, with colored limestone ponds of blue, yellow, white, and green. To see the pools in their full rainbow glory, the best time of year to visit is September and October. The most spectacular of the ponds are behind Huanglong Temple deep in the valley and seven point five kilometers from the road. A round trip along a footpath takes about four hours, with the trail returning through dense and the dark forest. Carry enough water and food for yourself

Huanglong Temple.

In the heights of Huanglong national park is the Huanglong Temple, a Buddhist temple at the head of the main body of water in the gully.

Fuyuan Bridge.

Sitting at the west of Huanglong Valley entrance of the national park is the Fuyuan Bridge built on the head-stream of the Fujiang River. Here is a very small basin land surrounded by the evergreen mountains and the meadows where the Fujiang River winds its way eastwards. In a distance are the overlapping peaks and the floating clouds, making up such a grand sight. The wood bridge is in a plain but a vigorous style that is the entrance to visit Huanglong Valley. In the scenic sight are the vast stretches of virgin forests. Visitors can also climb up slab or the wood steps along the plank roads, breathing fresh air from woods and listening to the birds as the sing.

The dragon Ridge waterfalls.

the dragon waterfalls is found in a travertine slope which seems to be fish scales in a form of a peculiar jade band, on which a very thin layer of shiny water freely runs over and it resembles a golden back ridge of a dragon. The waterfalls have golden color that dominates the scenery, they are decorated with white, silver, and dark green patches colors. On the travertine, it grows water willows and the hilly flowers that look like colored boats in the river, featuring a dynamic and static harmony of the Nature.

Dustpan Lake and horse shoe lake

The lake comprises of two colored ponds called the lakes by the local people of Huanglong. The larger one resembles a dustpan design and the smaller a horseshoe design. Both lie in tranquility of the deep woods. No one has ever come up with an adequate interpretation for why they are called lakes, which adds another mystic color to Huanglong.

Revolving flower pond

A number of fountains spring up from the limpid bottom and then rippling the water surface into fine geometric patterns. The strange thing is that, if visitors throw in flowers or leaves, the ripples will revolve in different directions and at different tempos.
