Toronto
Planning a family vacation? This is never easy. It can be difficult to find a destination that offers enough for both kids and adults. Some are packed with five-star restaurants but lack anything remotely kid friendly. Or have an endless string of things for the little ones to do…. and nothing to keep the adults entertained. It doesn’t have to be that way. Just visit a city that is fun and family friendly. Not sure where to go? The answer is simple: Toronto. These are a few of the best attractions the city has to offer. Ones that the whole family is sure to enjoy.
The CN Tower. Let’s start with the biggest and best. The CN Tower is by far the most popular attraction the city has to offer. If you go on holiday to Canada then you need to make time for the CN Tower. You can’t miss it. Literally! It is 553m tall. During your time at the tower you can ride up to the observation deck in a glass elevator. Then you get the chance to enjoy a massive view of Toronto and the GTA. The view from the observation deck will take your breath away. Oh, and the kids will love walking along the glass floor. That’s right. This is one attraction that cannot be skipped.
Night view from the CN Tower
Ripley’s Aquarium. One of the more recent tourist attractions the city has to offer? Ripley’s Aquarium. It is located right next to the CN Tower. (Which means you can head over there right after you check out the views!) To say this aquarium is impressive would be a massive understatement. It has over 13 500 underwater creates on display. That includes fish, seahorses, octopus, stingrays, sharks, and more. The best part of your aquarium trip will definitely be the moving walkway. It takes you through a long tunnel – while sharks and an array of marine life swim above your head. Talk about amazing!
The Toronto Zoo.
There is nothing like a trip to the zoo. Animals are always a hit with children and adults. Thankfully, Toronto has a pretty spectacular zoo to walk through. There are over 5000 animals located in seven different sections. (Those sections are: Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Tundra Trek, Australasia, Eurasia, and the Canadian Domain.) That means there is plenty to see. Make sure you give yourself at least four hours. Longer if you plan to stop, snap pictures, or grab lunch. Something to remember? While there are many exhibits indoors…. there is a lot of walking. Bring water, load up the stroller, and wear comfortable shoes. Your day at the Toronto Zoo will be amazing.
Other Family Friendly Attractions In Toronto. Thought this list had come to an end? Not even close. There are a number of other family friendly attractions throughout the city. Try to leave time for Casa Loma, Lego Land, Fort York, Medieval Times, The Ontario Science Centre, and the Hockey Hall of Fame. You can even grab a pair of tickets to a sporting event at the Rogers Centre. Not a bad way to spend time with the people you love…and have fun doing it.
